Our backstory
UNNAMED was born of determination. We know that everybody has to start somewhere, and so writing for us doesn’t require a packed portfolio – being unnamed shouldn’t mean going unnoticed. We are a community of aspiring journalists who want our voices to stand out against the industry noise.
During my teens, I realised I wanted to become a journalist. I scoured the internet for shadowing opportunities, people to write for, only to be shot down for my age and lack of experience. It’s a paradox – how are we expected to succeed in an industry automatically pitted against us?
That’s why I create UNNAMED – so aspiring writers can have their work published. No requirements. And no more being restricted to personal blog posts.
